Lincoln is an historic Cathedral city in the County of Lincolnshire, home to 84,000 people. Wander through cobbled streets to Brayford Pool, along the waterfront and climb aboard a boat for a tranquil journey around the city, along the River Witham, and Fossdyke Roman Canal. Or why not catch a Curtain Call at the Theatre Royal which is housed in a lovely Victorian building, performances range from Drama, Musicals and Comedy.
A visit to the Guildhall in the High Street unravels many delights, set in the old Debtors Prison and houses many treasures one of which is the impressive sword that belonged to Richard 11, or perhaps the scintillating exhibits on show at ‘The Collection’ is more for you, covering stunning items from the Iron Age, Saxon, Roman and Medieval times, next door the impressive Usher Art Gallery proudly displays beautiful paintings by Stubbs, Turner and Lowry.
